POSCO develops new steel processing plants in India, Thailand

SEOUL, April 23 (Yonhap) -- POSCO, South Korea's No. 1 steelmaker, said Thursday
that it has completed construction of two steel-processing plants in India and
Thailand to meet rising demand from automakers and electronics companies.
The plants have an annual production capacity of 120,000 tons of steel that can
be used for automobiles and electronic goods.
POSCO already runs steel-processing centers in India and Thailand, where the
steel is then used in the manufacture of finished products.
With the two plants, POSCO now has 36 steel processing centers in 12 countries.
