S. Korea, Brazil agree to increase flights

SEOUL, April 24 (Yonhap) -- South Korea and Brazil agreed to expand passenger and
freight air services between the two countries as part of efforts to facilitate
exchanges in business and other areas, officials said Friday.

According to the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs, the number of
passenger flights will increase to seven a week from the current three, while
freight services will also be provided three times a week. There have been no
freight air services between the two countries.
The move, which was agreed at a meeting between Korean and Brazilian aviation
officials here on Friday, will enable domestic carriers to provide more flight
services to the Latin American country, the ministry said.
