Indian Foreign Secretary and NSA reach Sri Lanka

Colombo, Apr 24 (PTI) National Security Advisor M K
Narayanan and Foreign Secretary Shiv Shankar Menon flew in
here for a meeting with President Mahinda Rajapakse to press
for cessation of all hostilities in the island.

The Indian envoys, despatched by the government as
the killings continued amidst fears of a political fall in
Tamil Nadu, flew in by a special aircraft a little before
noon.

From the airport they were flown by a helicopter to
"Temple Trees", the official residence of the President, for
talks.

The two envoys are expected to return to Delhi
Friday itself. PTI
