Seoul shares start lower on tech losses
SEOUL, April 27 (Yonhap) -- South Korean stocks got off to a weak start Monday as
large-cap tech shares lost ground, analysts said.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) dropped 1.61 points to
1,352.49 in the first 15 minutes of trading.
Market-leading electronic stocks led losses as foreign and Institutional
investors locked in profits from recent tech rallies.
The local currency was trading at 1,336.75 won to the U.S. dollar as of 9:15
a.m., up 6.45 won from Friday's close.
