Seoul shares down 0.2 pct in late morning

SEOUL, April 27 (Yonhap) -- South Korean stocks traded 0.2 percent lower late
Monday morning with heavy losses by tech shares weighing down the market,
analysts said.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) shed 2.65 points to
1,351.45 as of 11:20 a.m.
"Investors are taking a breather after the KOSPI booked sharp gains recently,"
said Kim Seung-han, an analyst at Hi Investment & Securities.
Market-leading electronics shares led the overall losses as foreign and
institutional investors locked in profits from the sector's recent bullish
trading.
The local currency was trading at 1,341.65 won to the U.S. dollar as of 11:20
a.m., up 1.55 won from Thursday's close.
