Vice President attends Day of Democracy`s ceremony
ADEN, April 27 (Saba)- Vice President Abdu Rabo Mansour Hadi
attended Monday the great ceremony held on the occasion of the Day
of Democracy marks the 27th of April.
In the ceremony attended by a number of ministers, parliament
members and a number of military and security leaderships, Hadi
delivered a speech in which he said "Our celebration with you in
Aden … comes as strong affirmation on grasping values and principles
of the unique democratic experiment which has made Yemen in the core
of the era."
Establishing the blessed unity, he said, has been linked to
democracy. In unity's era, security and stability's environments
have been conditioned. "We are proud enough to say that the
courageous Aden which had been paying the price of conflicts in
totalitarian age ... is today the place of peace and development."
He asserted that national interest and realizing coherence towards
all issues are based on constitution and laws and this is stable
content in "our approach". However, he said, there are some envious
forces and sick elements try always to withdraw history backwardness
before revaluation and unity.
"These outlaw elements have overcome all taboos and started risks
targeting the homeland's unity. They started spreading their poisons
to damage the gains of the homeland, the revolution and the unity,"
he said. He affirmed that these elements will not succeed to realize
their malicious aims and will not succeed to betray ordinary people.
He indicated that if there are mistakes accompanied the democratic
experiment, the fact that mistakes always accompany great
experiences.
Over land issues, the Vice President said "we tell those who make of
land issues a mean to evoke unrests, there are great number of lands
distributed before 1994 across the south and many of them have been
sold to others."
Hadi who affirmed that the country is working on correcting mistakes
in this regard said these small issues must not be used as
justifications to harm the homeland. He stressed importance of
raising all people force to face forces of conspiracy and sabotage
to keep the homeland secure and stable.
