Seoul stocks down 0.02 pct in late morning

SEOUL, April 28 (Yonhap) -- South Korean stocks traded 0.02 percent lower late
Tuesday morning with institutional selling weighing down the market, analysts
said.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) trimmed 0.28 point to
1,339.55 as of 11:20 a.m.
"The market is struggling to add gains but solid institutional selling and
jitters over the global outbreak of swine flu dampened such efforts," said Lee
Young, an analyst at IBK Securities.
The broader index traded between gains and losses in volatile trading as builders
posted big gains with electronics dragging down the market.
The local currency was trading at 1,347.4 won to the U.S. dollar as of 11:20
a.m., down 4.4 won from Monday's close.
