SINGAPORE FLU NOT AFFECTING AIR PASSENGERS TO BANDUNG
Bandung, W Java, April 28 (ANTARA)- The Singapore flu issue has not yet affected the flow of air passengers on the Bandung-Singapore route and Bandung-Kuala Lumpur route, a spokesman said.
"The issue has become part of our attention and has not yet affected the number of passengers on the Bandung-Singapore route. The number of passengers to Bandung is still normal," Head of Air Asia of Bandung branch, Bangkit Adiwinata said here Tuesday.
This airline company has two overseas routes namely the Bandung-Kuala Lumpur and Bandung-Singapore lines.
The occupancy rate of the route reached 85 percent with the average number of 100 passengers per flight, Adiwinata said.
"Its occupancy rate still stood at 85 percent and 100 percent on weekends," he said.
Sharing the comment with Adiwinata, the general manager of state airport management company PT Angkasa Pura II Mulya Abdi said the Singapore flu issue did not much affect the number of international passengers to Bandung's Husein Sastranegara airport.
On the Singapore flu issue, the airport management company PT Angkasa Pura II had established cooperation with a medical team of Hasan Sadikin general hospital to conduct medical examinations of passengers suspected with flu.
"The medical personnel will examine passengers at the hospital, because we don't have a thermal detector," Abdi said.
In the meantime, the state airport management company PT Persero Angkasa Pura I has installed a detecting device at the Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali which will point to a person with Singapore flu. ***2***
