Bylaw of organizing land ports affaires approved
SANA'A, April 28 (Saba)-The Cabinet approved on Tuesday meeting on
the bylaw of organizing affairs of the land ports after it was
reviewed by ministerial committee headed by the deputy prime
minister for internal affairs, asking to finalize all legal measures
to issue it.
The bylaw aims at facilitating measures of land ports bodies to do
their tasks in order to avoid any overlapping and improve
performance of the land ports to offer better services for
passengers, exporters, importers and tourists.
Meanwhile, the Cabinet referred a draft law of meteorology -
presented by the ministry of transport - to a ministerial committee
headed by the minister of legal affairs to discuss the draft.
According to the ministry, the draft aims at improving services of
the metrology in the country within new climate changes in order to
protect the nation and people form impacts of those changes.
The ministry also presented a report to the cabinet over
determination of the continental shelf in order to send documents to
the United Nations.The cabinet authorized the minister of transport
to follow up with the committee of continental shelf at the
UN.Moreover, the cabinet also discussed a report presented by the
ministry over behavior code signed between countries of West Indian
Ocean, Aden Gulf and Red Sea to combat piracy, affirming importance
of carrying out the code.
