Seoul stocks open stronger on foreign purchases
SEOUL, April 29 (Yonhap) -- South Korean stocks got off to a strong start
Wednesday, lifted by foreign buying, analysts said.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) rose 7.77 points, or 0.60
percent, to 1,308.01 in the first 15 minutes of trading.
Solid foreign buying of large-cap tech and bank shares led the overall market gain.
The local currency was trading at 1,356.3 won to the U.S. dollar as of 9:15 a.m.,
up 0.3 won from Tuesday's close.
