PRESIDENT GASPAROVIC HAILS RI-SLOVAKIA INCREASED RELATIONS
London, Apr 29 (ANTARA) - President of Slovakia Ivan Gasparovic hailed efforts at increasing and expanding trade between Indonesia and Slovakia.
The Slovakian President made the remark when receiving in audience Indonesian Ambassador to the Slovak Republic Harsha E. Joesoef at the di Prezidentsky Palace in Bratislava.
First Secretary at the Indonesian Embassy in Bratislava Wanton Saragih Sid told Antara London Wednesday that on the occasion Ambassador Harsha E Joesof presented his credentials to Slovak President Ivan Gasparovic,
President Gasparovic on the occasion expressed appreciation for the bilateral relations between the two countries especially in the mutual support in international fora, and expressed interest in visiting Indonesia.
Meanwhile Harsha E. Joesoef said Indonesia looked at Slovakia as a politically and economically important country.
Since joining NATO and the European Union in 2004, Slovakia played a very important political role in international affairs, he said.
He said Slovakia shares views in many world issues with Indonesia such as the Kosovo case.
Slovakia has also supported the candidacy of Indonesian representatives in various organizations world organizations and institutions like the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), Universal Postal Union (UPU) , International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS), and some other world bodies.
