BEI SUSPENDS TRADING IN ASIA SHARES
Jakarta, April 29 (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) has suspended trading in PT Asia Natural Resources Tbk (ASIA) shares since the first trading session on Wednesday.
The suspension was effective in the regular and cash markets, Hamdi Hassyarbaini, head of the BEI transaction supervision devision, said here on Wednesday.
"The suspension is aimed at giving adequate time to investors to consider their investment decisions," he said.
The suspension was conducted following a significant increase in the company's stock price cumulatively, which went up Rp70 or 87.5 percent from Rp80 to Rp150 during the period of April 17-28, 2009.
