Yemen, IMF review govt policies dealing with global financial crisis
SANA'A, April 29 (Saba) - Yemen and International Monetary Fund
(IMF) discussed here on Wednesday the government policies to deal
with the global financial crisis and its consequences.
During the final meeting between Yemen and IMF headed by Planning
and International Cooperation Minister Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi, the
tow sides dealt with the economic and financial developments and how
the government tackles the economic challenges, especially low the
decline of the oil prices that caused by the global financial crisis.
The meeting also addressed the nature of the negative effects
emerged from the financial crisis on the regional and international
investments.
The meeting also reviewed areas of bilateral cooperation between
Yemen and IMF in financial areas as well as the available support
for each of the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Yemen.
