SLOVAKIAN PRESIDENT HAILS EFFORTS OF ENHANCING RI-SLOVAKIA TRADE RELATIONS

Jakarta, April 30 (ANTARA) - Slovakian President Ivan Gasparovic hailed efforts of enhancing trade between Indonesia and Slovakia.

Gasparovic also appreciated the bilateral cooperation between the two countries especially in international forums, and expressed interest in visiting Indonesia, a release from the Indonesian embassy in Slovakia said in Jakarta Thursday.

It was said that the Slovakian president's statement was made to Indonesian Ambassador Harsha E Joesoef in Bratislava, capital of Slovakia.
According to Harsha, the Indonesian nation saw the importance of Slovakia from political and economic aspects, especially that country joined NATO and the European Union in 2004.

Slovakia often shared views and positions with Indonesia in looking at various world issues especially in the context of the Kosovo issue and Slovakian support for the nomination of Indonesian representatives to world agencies such as the International Organization for Standarization (ISO), the Universal Postal Union , the International Tribunal for the law of the sea (ITLOS) and other world organizations.***
