AZERBAIJANI AMBASSADOR MEETS CHAIRMAN OF PAKISTAN SENATE

Baku, 1 May (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Pakistan Eynulla Madatli met with the new chairman of Pakistan`s Senate and acting President of the country Farooq Hamid Naek.
Madatli conveyed greetings of Speaker of the Azerbaijan Parliament Ogtay Asadov.
The diplomat expressed confidence that Azerbaijani-Pakistani inter-parliamentary relations will further develop.
The Azerbaijani Ambassador praised current level of relations between his country and Pakistan, adding the latter has always supported Azerbaijan within all international organizations, including the United Nation General Assembly and Security Council.
Touching upon bilateral relations, the chairman of Pakistan Senate said reciprocal visits by MPs and top officials play make contribution to expanding cooperation in various fields.
Farooq Hamid Naek expressed importance of boosting relations in the fields of defense industry, security and technology.
He said Pakistan will continue to support Azerbaijan on settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The acting president also praised Azerbaijan`s supporting Pakistan on Kashmir question.
Farooq Hamid Naek requested the Ambassador to convey his greetings to the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
