KALLA, WIRANTO DECLARED PRESIDENTIAL PAIR
Jakarta, May 1 (ANTARA) - Golkar Party Chairman Jusuf Kalla and People's Conscience Party (Hanura) leader Wiranto had been declared as presidential and vice presidential candidates here on Friday.
The JK-Wiranto presidential candidate declaration began with a statement signed by the two party leaders and read by Golkar Secretary General Soemarsono.
With the declaration, the Golkar and Hanura parties have officially nominated Kalla and Wiranto as a presidential and vice presidential ticket for the 2009 presidential contest.
This agreement, Soemarsono said, will be followed up with efforts to usher the JK-Wiranto presidential pair to victory in the July 8, 2009 presidential polls.***
