WALHI ACEH OFFICE WITHDRAWS REPORT ABOUT FORESTRY MINISTER

Banda Aceh, Indonesia, May 1 (ANTARA)- The Indonesian Forum for Environment (Walhi), Aceh chapter, has withdrawn its report about Forestry Minister MS Kaban concerning the construction of a road in the Rawa Singkil sanctuary which had already been notified to the Police Headquarters.

"We agreed to withdraw the report to the Police Headquarters against the forestry minister regarding a permission to upgrade the Trumon-Buluseuma road in South Aceh regency," Aceh Walhi's institutional development division chairman Abdillah said here Friday.

The agreement to withdraw the report had been sent to the Aceh Walhi management in the presence of Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam (NAD)provincial administration officials, South Aceh regency administration, environmental activists, Buluseuma community leaders, youths and university students of South Aceh, during a multi-discussion on follow up steps in upgrading the Keude Trumon-Buluseuma road in the NAD administration convention hall. ***
