Government studies reducing labor, employees income tax

SANA'A, May 02 (Saba) - The Government studies a proposal on
lessening the labor and employees income tax, Prime Minister Ali
Mujawar said on Saturday.

"The government is studying, and will approve soon, amendment draft
on the Tax Law aiming to reduce the labor and employees income tax",
Mujawar said during the annual ceremony for honoring the outstanding
workers in labor and production sectors.

He assured that the purpose of this amendment is to alleviate the
living pressures on the labor and employees' shoulders, noting that
the government makes every effort to assuage the consequences of the
Global financial crisis and strengthen the country's economy.

The Premier called on the private sector to provide all guarantees
for the workers to establish their union entities to ensure their
rights.

He emphasized the significance of the supposed partnership between
the three-work parties, the government, employees and employers,
that contributes to ensure the fair components for the workers.

"The government adopts economic policies to advance the living
condition of workers" he said.

He highlighted the struggling role of the Yemen's workers within the
frameworks of civil and national moves until the revolutions 26
September and 14 October.
