FRANCE OFFERS RI TO COOPERATE IN TOURISM AND HOTEL MANAGEMENT
Jakarta, May 4 (ANTARA)- France has offered a high education cooperation on tourism and hotel management through the double degree program to Indonesian high learning institutes, an official said.
"Indonesia and France have similarity in tourism and hotel management affairs which lead to an opportunity to cooperate in effort to improve quality of human resources especially something concerns with qualification on managerial field," French Embassy's attache on scientific and technical cooperation, Dominique Dubois said here Monday.
The French diplomat made the remarks in a meeting with representatives of the National Education ministry's high learning institute affairs and the country's high schools of tourism on the day.
Dubois said the cooperation also aimed to improve quality of hotel services and tourist resorts.
According to him, the French embassy here will also hold an intensive meeting with high learning institutes dealing with tourism affairs in Jakarta, Bali and Bandung.
In addition, Dubois said that exploration of the cooperation is expected to turn out new cooperation among institutions and to support universities cooperation to open the double degree program for the levels of D3, D4, S1 and S2.
Meanwhile, the National Education ministry's high learning institute affairs Hendarman expressed hope that the cooperation will cover agreement on curriculum and study program.
