Two Koreas discussing formal talks on joint venture
SEOUL, May 5 (Yonhap) -- South and North Korea are holding a preliminary meeting
to prepare for talks on their industrial park, a Seoul official said Tuesday.
"Discussions are ongoing," a senior official of the Unification Ministry told
reporters, requesting anonymity.
The two Koreas held their first government-level talks in more than a year in the
joint park in the North's border town of Kaesong on April 21. Pyongyang
complained that wages South Korean firms pay North Korean employees in the
Kaesong park are too low and should be increased, and demanded the two sides meet
again.
The ministry official said the date and location for the second round of the
talks have not been decided yet.
