JMP asks GPC to meet ambitions of Yemeni people

SANA'A, May 05 (Saba)- Sultan al-Atwani, Secretary General of the
Unionist Popular Nasserite Party delivered a speech in the second
round of the 7th conference of the General People Congress on behalf
of Joint Meeting Parties in which he wished for the GPC conference
success and progress by coming out with decisions that meet
ambitions of the Yemeni people.

Al-Atwani expressed support of the JMP for any call for truthful
dialogue to discuss challenges facing the nation within
constitution, calling on all in power and opposition to show
partnership in defending on the nation from any crisis.

He addressed the GPC to distinguish between their rights of the
political competition with the opposition and their duties to run
the state and affairs of the citizens.

He added that the GPC shoulders responsibility of preserving public
rights and freedoms apart from any random decision and language of
exchanging accusations to tackle the national issues. Al-Atwani
pointed out to the development in some southern and eastern
governorates, saying that the JMP is supporting fair rights of the
citizens of these governorates, asking to bring an end for the
vandalism, violence and culture of the disinclination, regionalism
and sectarianism.

He wished that the ruling party adopts a responsible speech and
national solution to spread tolerance and conciliation in order to
serve interests of all, and achieve the national partnership between
all citizens of the country.

About Saada, al,-Atwani said that the stance of the JMP was clear
from the beginning which affirmed importance of stopping armed
operations and discuss the issue within the constitution and bring
the outlaw elements and rebels to justice.

In his speech, al-Atwani also reviewed the economic difficulties in
the country.

The Secretary General of Arab Socialist National Bath Party and
deputy chairman of the supreme council of the Democratic National
Alliance Qasam Salam affirmed need for the national gathering to
face outlaw acts, calling for further development, security and
stability.

Salam also called for the serious dialogue to face any attempt to
return the country back, highlighting the Yemeni unification which
was big achievement at Arab level.
