CHIEF OF AZERBAIJAN STATE CUSTOMS COMMITTEE MEETS GREEK AMBASSADOR

Baku, May 6 (AzerTAc). Chairman of Azerbaijan`s State Customs Committee, Colonel-General Aydin Aliyev met with Greek ambassador to the country Johannes Metaxas.
Aliyev expressed confidence the two countries`s relations will further expand.
He recalled President Ilham Aliyev`s recent visit to Greece, stressing “it marked a new level in the bilateral relations”.
Aliyev stressed the importance of joint projects, including that envisaging transportation of Azerbaijan`s energy resources to Europe via Greece, saying “they serve to boost our economic development as well as strengthen stability and security in the region”.
Metaxas praised Azerbaijan`s economic development.
He expressed satisfaction at the level of economic, political and cultural relations between the two countries.
Touching upon mutual cooperation between the two countries` customs authorities, the Greek ambassador expressed confidence reciprocal visits will give a push to further strengthening the relations in this regard.
