Parliament to discuss riot acts with governors, ministers

SANA'A, May 06 (Saba) - Parliament is to ask the attendance of governors of the southern governorates that have witnessed sabotage acts and the concerned ministers as well to discuss such acts, the state-run 26sep.net reported on Wednesday.

It expected that the parliament will dedicate next week sessions to discuss the
unacceptable sabotage acts committed by a number of lawless elements in some
southern governorates, a source at the parliament told the website.

On the issue of involvement of some parliament members in such acts, the source said
that usual procedures in such cases would be followed, that include a request from
prosecution and Justice Ministry lifting of parliamentary immunity from the involved
members coupled with all evidences. Then the parliament will take the necessary
constitutional procedures to lift the immunity from the members to be investigated
with by the prosecution.
