Egypt supports unity and stability of Yemen

CAIRO, May 06 (Saba)-Egypt expressed on Wednesday its support for the unity and stability of Yemen.

Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Hossam Zaki stated that Egypt closely
follows up the developments in some regions of the south Yemen, within the framework
of its great keenness on maintaining the stability in this Arab brotherly country
and in light of the historical profound relations binding both countries.

The Spokesman praised efforts exerted by President Ali Abdullah Saleh to contain any
internal tensions and protect the unity of Yemen and surpass any viewpoints
disagreements which could occur among the Yemeni People.

The Egyptian official affirmed the importance of preventing any interference attempt
in the Yemeni affairs from foreign sides which could threat internal stability and
security.

He asserted the importance for the Yemeni people to unit during this significant
phase in order to keep the acquired unity and move forward in the development and
joint work .
