President Saleh praises King Abdullah

Sanaa, May 06, SPA -- President Ali Abdullah Saleh of Yemen and
Chairman of the ruling General Popular Congress has lauded the
support of the member countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council for
Yemen to preserve its security, stability and integrity.

In a key address at the closing session of the 2nd session for the
7th General Conference of the General Popular Conference, Saleh
briefed Yemen's legislators on the positive and marvelous position of
the GCC leaders in support for the Yemeni people during a meeting
held in Riyadh yesterday under the chairmanship of the Custodian of
the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

He said the GCC leaders reaffirmed commitment to pay their financial
obligations announced during London donors meeting and discussed in
their Riyadh meeting how to absorb more Yemeni laborers in the GCC
developmental process.
