N. Korea vows to bolster nuclear power, citing Obama's hostility
SEOUL, May 8 (Yonhap) -- North Korea said Friday there is no use in trying to
talk with the United States and vowed to bolster its nuclear deterrent, accusing
the Barack Obama administration of remaining hostile toward it.
"Having observed policy trends over the past 100 days since the Obama
administration emerged in the U.S., it has become evident that there is no change
in the U.S. hostile policy toward North Korea," the country's foreign ministry
spokesman said in an interview with the Korean Central News Agency.
"There is nothing (positive) that will emerge even if we sit down with our
counterpart, which still remains hostile to us," the unidentified spokesman said.
