AZERI NATIONAL LEADER HEYDAR ALIYEV`S 86TH BIRTHDAY MARKED IN INDONESIA
Baku, 9 May (AzerTAc). An event to commemorate national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev`s 86th birthday was held Friday in Indonesia-based Driyarkara School of Philosophy.
Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the Philippines with concurrent accreditation to Indonesia Ibrahim Hajiyev spoke of national leader`s lifetime and activities to strengthen the Azerbaijani statehood.
The diplomat noted that national leader`s policy ensured development of democracy in Azerbaijan and establishment of market economy in the country. “Thanks to successful foreign policy of the national leader, Azerbaijan received worthy place in the world community.”
The Ambassador also said that President Ilham Aliyev successfully continues national leader Heydar Aliyev`s policy.
He pointed out as a result of the President`s efforts, Azerbaijan has become an important partner across the world.
Ibrahim Hajiyev briefed the participants on the “grave consequences” of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh and the Azerbaijani leadership`s efforts to settle the dispute peacefully.
