Government unveils new fees on oil companies

SANA'A, May 10 (Saba) - The government will increase oil sectors
from 27 blocks to 39 blocks at the end of 2009 beside the open
blocks amounted 49, government report which was submitted to the
General Conference of General People's Congress, News Yemen website
has reported.

The report indicated that it will establish a joint company with a
Korean company in block 4. It has increased the needs of petroleum
gas at 761,000 metric tons in 2008 compared with 737,000 metric tons
in 2007.

The parliament has approved to sign 15 oil agreements between the
government and foreign oil companies during the period 2006-2006,
the report mentioned.
