German with Yemen`s unification, stabilization
SANA'A, May 10 (Saba) - Germany affirmed its support for the unity,
security and stability of Yemen, German ambassador to Yemen Michael
Klor-Berchtold said on Sunday.
During his meeting with President Ali Abdullah Saleh, Klor-Berchtold
said that his country stands with Yemen in areas of democracy and
development process, asserting that a unified and stabilized Yemen
would serve the stability and spread peace in the region.
The ambassador conveyed during his meeting with President Saleh a
letter from the German Government, dealing with bilateral relations
and joint cooperation areas.
In the letter, Germany accentuated the continuation of its support
for the development in Yemen to realize the sustainable development
goals, hailing the efforts Yemen exerts in this regard.
For his part, Saleh praised the level of bilateral relations and
joint cooperation between the two countries.
The letter indicated that the areas to be supported by Germany are
water and sanitation, education, civil service, administrative
reform and women.
It is worth to mention that the annual German aid to Yemen amounts
to €80 million.
