AZERBAIJAN TEAM WINS HAZI ASLANOV INTERNATIONAL JUDO TOURNAMENT
Baku, May 11 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijani national team won the international tournament in memory of twice hero of the Soviet Union Hazi Aslanov.
In the girls` section, gold medals came from Vasila Amirov (36 kg), Nazakat Khalilova (52 kg), Gunay Alimammadli (63 kg) while male winners included Nasimi Umbayev (46 kg), Kenan Guliyev (50 kg), Musa Khalili (55 kg), Arif Shahlarov (60 kg), Jumshid Gasimli (90 kg).
In the team event, Azerbaijan finished first while Georgia second and Russia third.
The competition held at the Abu Arena sport complex brought together some 500 athletes from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Iran, Israel, Ukraine, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Russia.
