Vietnamese Buddhists in France gather for Buddha's birthday
Paris (VNA) - Hundreds of Vietnamese and French Buddhists in France gathered at the Truc Lam Pagoda in the southern outskirts of Paris on May 10 to celebrate the Lord Buddha's 2553rd birthday.
The celebrations of the Buddha's birthday at the pagoda have become an
annual event for Buddhists in France to meet each other and conduct
prayers.
The pagoda's dignitaries read a letter from the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha's
Patronage Council and Executive Council, which called on Buddhism followers
to practice and make good deeds, thus contributing to building a
philanthropic society, a united world and a beautiful life.
Vietnam 's Ambassador to France Le Kinh Tai and Ambassador to UNESCO Van
Nghia Dung also joined the event.-Enditem
