AZERBAIJANI AMBASSADOR IN UK ADDRESSES CONFERENCE ON EU POLICY IN BLACK SEA REGION

London, May 12 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijani ambassador Fakhraddin Gurbanov reported on the EU-Azerbaijan relationship and its prospects for development at a conference on the EU policy in the Black Sea basin, which took place at the university of Leicester, Azerbaijani embassy to the United Kingdom said.
Report provided information about the history of bilateral relations and stressed Azerbaijan`s European integration as the priority of the country`s foreign policy. Gurbanov noted Azerbaijan plays important role in ensuring Europe`s energy security.
Ambassador pointed out EU-proposed projects and programs are being successfully implemented by Azerbaijan, adding the country is keen on the Eastern Partnership program.
The meeting brought together researchers and experts specializing in the Black Sea region, Eastern European specialists and representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry
