Iranian Deputy FM confirms Iranian support for Yemen's unity

TEHRAN, Iran, May 11 (Saba) - Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister
Hossein Sheikholeslam confirmed on Monday the continuing support of
his country for the unity of Yemen.

In the closing session of the fourth meeting of the Political
Yemeni-Iranian committee started on Sunday in Tehran, Sheikholeslam-
the head of the Iranian side in the committee- said that Iran has a
good cooperation for the Yemeni unification, adding that Iran was
one of the first world countries who sent their representatives to
Yemen to announce support for the Yemeni unification.

He made it clear that there are Iranian companies working in Yemen,
especially in electricity field, saying that atmosphere is good to
enhance cooperation between the two countries.

For his part, the head of the Yemeni side in the committee and
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Muthana affirmed importance
of the meeting to exchange viewpoints between Sana'a and Tehran over
issues of common concern and means of enhancing the bilateral
relations between the two countries.

Muthana said that the cooperation between the two countries serve
security of the region and the issue of the Islamic nation.
