GOVERNORS OF U.S. STATES OF UTAH AND OREGON CONGRATULATE AZERBAIJANI COMMUNITY ON MAY 28 – REPUBLIC DAY
Baku, 14 May (AzerTAc). Jon Huntsman and Ted Kulongoski, governors of U.S. states of Utah and Oregon, have sent letters of congratulation to the Azerbaijani community in the country on the occasion of May 28 – Republic Day.
According to the letters, Azerbaijanis, with their abilities and efforts, contributed to the United States` history, art, science and culture much.
The letters note that the women were granted equal voting rights with men in Azerbaijan still in 1918.
The letters particularly stress Azerbaijan`s freedom, independence and sovereignty.
