INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR ON DEVELOPMENT OF NATIONAL SPATIAL DATA INFRASTRUCTURE IN EASTERN EUROPE AND CENTRAL ASIA STARTS IN BAKU

Baku, May 14 (AzerTAc). An international seminar entitled “Development of national spatial data infrastructure in Eastern Europe and Central Asia” has started here today.
The event was co-organized by the Real Estate State Register Service of Azerbaijan and Netherlands` Cadastre, Land Registry and Mapping Agency.
Opening the seminar, head of the Real Estate State Register Service of Azerbaijan Arif Garashov said development of information-communication technologies is very important in Azerbaijan. He stressed the formation of information society in Azerbaijan and the country`s integration into global information community was announced as the important strategic aim during nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev`s rule.
Azerbaijan`s Deputy Minister of Communication and Information Technologies Elmir Valizade spoke of development of information-communication technologies and successes achieved in the country.
The participants watched a short film featuring activity of the Real Estate State Register Service of Azerbaijan.
