AZERI AMBASSADOR MEETS SCOTLAND`S TOP OFFICIALS

London, 16 May (AzerTAc). Ambassador of the Azerbaijan Republic to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and North Ireland Fakhraddin Gurbanov made a business trip to Scotland.
During the trip, the diplomat has met with the head of the Scottish Government, the First Minister Alex Salmond and Vice-speaker of country`s parliament Alasdair Morgan.
In meeting, Ambassador Gurbanov highlighted on the regional political processes, the large-scale projects being realized here and the investment environment Azerbaijan provides. The diplomat noted active participation of the British companies in development of the oil and non-oil sectors of republic, what, according to him, reveals good potential to expand further cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom.
Touching upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Ambassador Gurbanov informed on the true reasons of conflict and ongoing peace negotiations.
The parties expressed wish for further development of relations and stressed necessity of expanding bilateral cooperation.
