Malaysia Bags 3 Awards In South And Southeast Asia Innovation Awards

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 22 (Bernama) -- Malaysia secured three awards in the annual South and Southeast Asia Innovation Awards recently by Clarivate Plc, a global leader in providing trusted information and insights to accelerate the pace of innovation. In a statement Wednesday, Clarivate said Malaysia bagged three awards in three different categories, namely, academic institutions through Universiti Putra Malaysia, government research organisations via Malaysian Palm Oil Board, and corporations through Top Glove Corporation Bhd. The overall 27 winners out of 276 organisations were announced at its Innovation Forum for the region on Sept 21. “The awards are based on an analysis of patent volume, citation volume, patent success and the level of globalisation, using patent data from Derwent World Patents Index™ (DWPI) and Derwent Patent Citations Index™ (DPCI). “The criteria used to select the top innovators in South and Southeast Asia closely mirrors that of the annual Top 100 Global Innovators™ which identifies organisations at the pinnacle of the global innovation landscape,” said Clarivate. -- BERNAMA
