Humad meets WFP official, Mauritanian ambassador

SANA'A, May 17 (Saba) - Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Amat al-Razaq Humad met
here on Sunday with United Nations World Food Program (WFP) official and Mauritanian
diplomat.

Humad held talks with the WFP Regional Director for the Middle East, Central Asia
and Eastern Europe Daly Belgasmi on cooperation ties between the Ministry and the
program and the joint coordination to present the aid to the beneficiaries from the
social security.

The meeting also dealt with efforts of the Ministry and the Social Welfare Fund in
presenting assistance to about 1,050,000 fund-beneficiaries and how to avail from
the program's experiences in some Arab countries in transferring the cash assistance
to food aid.

The WFP's official praised the efforts exerted by the Ministry and the fund,
affirming the necessity to make a mechanism for the coordination between the two
sides to carry out the different programs in future.

On another hand, Minister Humad met here with the Mauritanian ambassador to Yemen
Mohammad al-Amin al-Salim.

During the meeting, the two officials talked on the bilateral cooperation ties
between the two countries and means of boosting them in the social aspects.
