AZERI DEPUTY FOREIGN MINISTER MEETS SWISS STATE SECRETARY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS
Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov met Monday with Swiss State Secretary of Foreign Affairs Michael Ambuhl.
The purpose of the meeting was to conduct regular political consultations on the level of Foreign Ministries of Azerbaijan and Switzerland in accordance with the agreement achieved last year.
During the meeting, the sides also discussed prospects for bilateral political, economic and trade cooperation.
It was stressed that political dialogue between Azerbaijan and Switzerland is at high level.
The sides praised the current state of normative legal base between the two countries and underscored the necessity of expanding it even more.
It was noted that Switzerland is a leading investor in Azerbaijan`s oil and gas sector.
Parties noted that the two countries have wide potential to deepen bilateral economic cooperation.
They also exchanged views on regional and international issues.
