MILLI MAJLIS VICE-SPEAKER MEETS DELEGATION OF U.S. MILITARY ACADEMY

Baku, May 19 (AzerTAc). Vice-speaker of Azerbaijan Milli Majlis Ziyafat Asgarov met Monday with a delegation of the United States Military Academy.
Representative of the delegation James McDougal praised the ongoing reforms and democratic development process in Azerbaijan.
According to him, Azerbaijan is a strategic partnership of the United States and “the two countries have good cooperation”.
He stressed the international community praises the role of Azerbaijan in anti-terror operations and regional projects.
James McDougal also noted that currently ten Azerbaijani students get education in U.S. Military Academy.
Ziyafat Asgarov said reciprocal visits by the two countries delegations` contribute to strengthening bilateral cooperation even more.
He pointed out cooperation between Azerbaijan and the U.S. to realize large-scale projects and fight terrorism yields positive results.
“We hope that our successful cooperation will continue in political and military spheres, as well”, said Asgarov.
Parties exchanged views on a number of other issues of mutual concern.
