Youth minister highlights Bahrain Handball Federation’s latest achievements

Manama, Nov. 10 (BNA): Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Ayman bin Tawfiq Al Moayyed congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on Bahrain achievement represented by Bahrain Handball Federation President MP Ali Ishaqi winning the position of Vice-President of the Asian Handball Federation (AHF), and Bahrain Handball Federation winning for the second consecutive time the Best Asian Federation award for 2017-2021. Al Moayyed noted that this success is added to Bahrain’s impressive achievements in the sport field, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and amid the interest and follow-up of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, which contributed in encouraging Bahraini sport to reach a high level internationally. The minister stressed that the great achievements of Bahraini handball at the continental and international levels are a real result of the great efforts made by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, to develop the sports sector in the Kingdom and upgrade its administrative and technical system, and the follow-up of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), President of the General Sports Authority (GSA) and Chairman of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC). He pointed out that Bahrain Handball Federation's victory for the second consecutive time came as a result of the elaborate work of its affiliates and its keenness to develop strategies for developing the game from a technical and administrative point of view, in addition to the distinct appearance of national teams in many continental and world championships.
