Volvo to recall 908 vehicles due to wiper defects

SEOUL, May 21 (Yonhap) -- Global automaker Volvo will recall 908 vehicles sold in
South Korea due to defects in their windshield wipers, the government said
Thursday.
Subject to the recall are three Volvo models produced between Aug. 31 2006 and
May 18 2007 in Germany, the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs said
in a statement. The three are the S80 D5, S80 4.4 and S80 3.2.
Defects in the vehicles' electrical systems could hamper the operation of
windshield wipers, the ministry said. Owners will be able to receive free repairs
at Volvo's affiliated service centers starting Friday.
