Speaker praises launching first Bahraini-Emirati satellite

Manama, Dec. 21 (BNA): Representatives Council Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal extended sincere congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the launch of the first Bahrain-UAE satellite “Light 1”. She also congratulated National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander, Secretary General of the Supreme Defence Council, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, stressing that launching the first Bahraini-Emirati satellite is the result of the royal vision, the support of the government and the follow-up of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. She described the achievement as a declaration of entering the world of space and the new sciences of the future to keep abreast of modern global trends and implement the new strategic plan of the space sciences in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Representatives Council Speaker praised Bahrain-UAE cooperation and the top-level international achievement brought about by Bahrain team. She also commended the efforts of the participating parties in launching the satellite. She stressed that the historical day, which coincides with the kingdom’s celebrations of its National Days, will remain engraved in the kingdom’s track-record of achievements.
