Three More Omicron Cases Detected In Indonesia

By Mohd Iswandi Kasan Anuar JAKARTA, Dec 23 (Bernama) -- Three more cases of the COVID-19 Omicron variant have been detected in Indonesia, bringing the total number of confirmed cases now to eight. The three new cases involved Indonesian migrant workers who returned from Malaysia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. "The individuals who have tested positive are all isolating at Wisma Atlet Kemayoran Hospital in Jakarta," according to the Health Ministry in a statement. So far, all imported Omicron cases were detected during 10 days’ quarantine, and there is no sign yet of a community transmission. -- BERNAMA
