Inspector-General visits General Directorate of Media and Security Culture

Manama, Dec. 28 (BNA): Inspector-General Major-General Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa today visited the General Directorate of Media and Security Culture, as part of a series of inspection visits to various Interior Ministry’s directorates to get feedback about their preparedness to ensure the best security services. During the visit, the Director-General of Media and Security Culture Brigadier Mohammed bin Daina highlighted the operations of the directorate and its role in promoting community partnership to protect the security and safety of the nation. He said that the Police Media Centre was one of the fruitful results of the development and modernisation strategy of Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa. He said that the security milestones were achieved because of his directives and support to implementing police media plans and mechanisms. He said that the directorate works round the clock within a comprehensive system to fulfil its awareness role with professionalism, swift response, transparency, and readiness. He noted that the police media mission was based on credibility, accuracy and facing challenges and changes related to security work to ensure the required influence on the targeted audience. Meanwhile, the Inspector-General hailed the distinguished role of the directorate, valuing its media and awareness missions and professional workforce. He said that the Police Media Centre is the media front of the Interior Ministry and its sources for news and information to the media. He expressed thanks and appreciation to all the directorate’s affiliates for their efforts in serving the nation.
