Arab Parliament Calls on International Community to Support Peace Process, Realize Legitimate Demands of Palestinian People

Cairo, Dec. 29, 2021, SPA – The Arab Parliament praised the outcomes of the trilateral meeting that Cairo hosted between Egypt, Jordan and Palestine, attended by foreign ministers and intelligence chiefs of Egypt and Jordan, as well as the minister of civil affairs and intelligence chief of Palestine, to coordinate positions and visions on the decisions of the trilateral summit that was held in Cairo on September 2, 2021. In a statement today, the Arab Parliament said: “The challenges the Palestinian issue is facing, imposed by the serious escalation implemented by the Israeli occupation authorities on the Palestinian territories, mainly in the occupied Al-Quds, need all the Arab efforts to retrieve the stolen Palestinian right in land and end the stalemate that the peace process is witnessing in the meantime.” The Arab Parliament also highlighted the importance of joining efforts to realize Palestinian unity to help these endeavors exerted by Arab countries to reach a political horizon to realize the just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital, calling on the international community and the Quartet of the Middle East to offer real support and assistance for the peace process and realize the legitimate demands of the Palestinian people according to international legitimacy resolutions. --SPA
