BAKU HOSTS 4TH ECO MEETING OF HEADS OF PRIVATIZATION ADMINISTRATIONS AND 3RD HLEG MEETING ON PRIVATIZATION AND PRIVATE SECTOR DEVELOPMENT
Baku, May 22 (AzerTAc). The 3rd High Level Experts Group (HLEG) Meeting on Privatization and Private sector Development and the 4th Meeting of Heads of Privatization Administrations of ECO member states was held here on May 20-21.
The event brought together representatives and heads of privatization agencies of ECO member countries including Turkey, Afghanistan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of embassies of ECO member countries in Baku, international organizations and local and foreign businessmen operating in Azerbaijan.
The event participants exchanged experiences in the field of privatization. The meetings aimed at expanding cooperative relations, briefing participants on the privatization processes being implemented in Azerbaijan.
Addressing the event, Karam Hasanov, head of the state committee for the management of state property highlighted the importance of the event for each member countries and spoke about privatization in Azerbaijan and the success the country achieved in this field.
The HLEG meeting also discussed the action plan for launching ECO Website on privatization
ECO member countries adopted the Baku Declaration of the fourth meeting.
