Speaker receives Egyptian ambassador

Manama, Jan. 19 (BNA): Speaker of the Representatives Council Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal received today Egyptian Ambassador accredited to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Yasser Shaban. The meeting was held in the presence of First Deputy Speaker, Abdulnabi Salman. The Representatives Council Speaker hailed strong and growing fraternal relations and cooperation between both countries thanks to the care of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Egyptian President Abdelfattah El-Sisi. She described bilateral relations as a model to emulate, stressing keenness of the Representatives Council to further enhance parliamentary cooperation between the two brotherly countries. She praised the positive outcome of her recent visit to Egypt which culminated in the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Representatives Councils in both countries. The Representatives Council Speaker commended Egypt’s strategic and pivotal role in promoting security and stability in the region and the world. The Egyptian ambassador hailed the meeting, thanking the Representatives Council Speaker for her recent successful visit to Egypt. He lauded the advanced level of bilateral relations, stressing the key role played by Bahrain in fostering security and stability in the Arabian Gulf region and the whole world.
