Rashid Equestrian Club holds season's 16th race

Manama, Jan. 21 (BNA): In the presence of the Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club (REHRC)’s High Committee, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the Vice-President of the Supreme Council for Environment and Deputy Chairman of the REHRC’s High Committee, His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Club today held the 16th race of the 2021-2022 season at its racecourse in Raffa, Sakhir. Their Highnesses shaikhs, representatives of the sponsors and equestrian sport fans also attended the eight-round race which was held over the cups of Lexus, the late Hasan bin Saleh Al Rowai, Al-Jasra and the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club. Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait Group CEO, Abdulrahman Saif, presented the trophy of the Al-Jasra Cup for the sixth round to HH Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa. He also honoured trainer Allen Smith and jockey Edinson Rodriguez, the winners of the same round. Meanwhile, Naseem Hasan bin Saleh Al Rowai, presented the trophy of the late Hasan bin Saleh Al Rowai Cup to Abdulla Fawzi Nass. Isa Kanoo, the member of the Board of Directors of the Ebrahim Khalil Kanoo Company, the sponsors of the Lexus Cup, presented the trophies of the second round to HH Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, the third and sixth rounds to winner trainer Yousif Al-Buainain, the fourth round to winner owner, HH Shaikh Sultan El Deen bin Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa, and the eighth round to winner owner, Kumail Al-Mallah. CEO of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club, Shaikh Salman bin Rashid Al Khalifa, presented the trophy of the Club’s cup to Mohammed Khalid Abdulrahim.
