Shura Council Chairman hails quartet summit

Manama, Jan. 26 (BNA): Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh hailed the quartet summit which was held today between His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, Dubai Ruler Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi. He stressed the importance of the summit which affirmed strong support to the United Arab Emirates and backed all measures being taken to protect its security and stability in the aftermath of the terrorist Houthi ballistic missile attack which targeted civilian sites in the UAE. Al Saleh said that the Houthi attacks targeting the UAE represent a threat to regional security and stability, urging the international community to take a firm stance against the Houthi militias and the all terrorists groups and those who harbor them. Al Saleh said that the security of the UAE represents an integral part of the regional security, calling for an international stance to counter terrorism, and deter terror attacks that disrupt countries’ efforts to achieve development. He praised HM the King’s unwavering royal support to brotherly and friendly countries, commending the advanced level of joint cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the UAE.
